Kicking goals in Keysborough

Business Manager Khristian, took some time out to share what's happening in the Keysborough office in Victoria.

*Khristian, what roles are you recruiting for at the moment?
All sorts of roles! We have been busy recruiting for pickers/packers and forklift drivers. We are also on the hunt for machine operators in the manufacturing industry.

*Are there any sectors experiencing growth?
During the height of COVID-19 online retail, food and pharmaceutical industries have definitely experienced growth. With social restrictions easing, manufacturing for trades and building industries are gaining momentum.

*How can job seekers stand out and get the job?
With the current situation of social distancing, a lot of recruitment companies have had to be more creative with conducting interviews online. Make sure you’re in a quiet room free from distractions (answering an arranged video call while you’re out and about with the wind in the background is probably not the best idea) and ensure you’re on time and presentable – even though it’s online.

*If someone has missed out on a role, what's your advice?
Learn what you can from the experience and then move on to the next challenge. Try to get some feedback from the interviewer as this information will help you for next time. Most importantly, don’t take it personally. Employers need to make a decision based on the candidate they believe is best suited for the role. Do not give up!
